Photo: Melissa Hale Woodman/International Rescue Committee From Melissa Hale Woodman, resource developer at the IRC's refugee resettlement office in Boston, which is accepting donations of used vehicles to help refugees who are commuting to and from work: Here's a shot of Idrissa, our client, in his new car that he just got. He's very excited! Idrissa arrived from Sierra Leone about six months ago. He has two jobs--one at Ikon Solutions as a document specialist and the other working in a restaurant kitchen at the Boston airport. His commute is about 45 minutes each way now that he has a car--an hour less each day than when he was taking public transportation.
